How do I un-mirror a selfie?

Most front cameras save a mirrored preview. Apply a horizontal flip here and text in the background will read correctly again.

Does flipping reduce image quality?

No. Flipping only reorders existing pixels, so the result is pixel-for-pixel identical to the original apart from the mirroring.

Flip Image — frequently asked questions

Flipping mirrors the image, producing a reversed copy — text becomes backwards. Rotating turns it around its centre without reversing anything. A 180° rotation is not the same as flipping both ways.
