Date Difference Calculator
Count the time between two dates — as a plain number of days, broken into years, months and days, and as working days with weekends excluded. There's a switch for whether the end day counts, because booking systems, notice periods and holiday allowances all differ on that, and getting it wrong costs exactly one day.
On for booking-style counting where both the first and last day count.

Date Difference Calculator — frequently asked questions
It depends what you're counting. For someone's stay from the 1st to the 5th, that's 4 nights but 5 days. Notice periods and holiday allowances usually count both ends; a plain gap between dates usually doesn't.
