UPI QR Codes: Accept Payments Across Any Indian Banking App
One UPI QR code works across every major Indian payment app — no need to display five separate codes for five different apps.

Why UPI QR codes are universal by design
UPI (Unified Payments Interface) is a shared standard that every major Indian payment app — PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, BHIM, and others — implements identically. A single UPI QR code encoding your VPA (virtual payment address, like yourname@bank) works when scanned from any of these apps, which is why small shops in India can display one code instead of a wall of app-specific stickers.
What you need before generating one
Your UPI ID (VPA) is the only required piece — it looks like a short username followed by your bank or app's handle, such as yourname@okhdfcbank or shopname@ybl. You can find this inside whichever UPI app you already use, usually under your profile or bank account settings.
Fixed amount vs. open amount
You can encode a specific amount for a fixed-price sale, so the payer's app opens with the total already filled in — useful at a checkout counter. Or leave the amount open so one printed code works for purchases of any size, which is the more common choice for a general storefront QR code.
Where these are used
Retail counters and small shops, printed on a standee or counter sticker. Freelancer and service invoices, as a fast alternative to bank transfer details. Delivery and doorstep collection, where a printed or on-screen UPI code lets a customer pay a delivery agent without cash changing hands.
Generate your UPI QR code
Enter your UPI ID above, add a fixed amount if you want one, and download the code. Test it with your own UPI app before printing anything at scale.
